We are moving towards a more sustainable, technified and protected agriculture. We focus on the role of technology in this first release of the eBook “Trends in agricultural plastics”. In total we will have 9 publications, starting with this first one, where we will explain some solutions that are already available on the market to reduce the volume of plastic used in the manufacture of agricultural films.

In this eBook we bring together all the Product Managers of the different divisions of the Armando Alvarez Group so that, with their years of experience in the sector and direct contact with hundreds of farmers in different parts of the world, they can talk to us about how they see the agricultural plastics market and where they think it is heading.

There is a clear trend towards sustainability. We need to continue to take advantage of all the benefits of the agricultural land to feed a growing population, while respecting the environment so as not to weaken the very resources that are vital to the sector.

The market requires sustainable solutions, without neglecting the effectiveness of the plastics used in their crops and their production costs. This is the great challenge and the key lies in the technology used to manufacture these plastics and the experience to adapt each of these solutions to the different needs of the farmer.
